History & Other Activities  

 Mass Marriages:

Mass Marriages will be held during the months of April or May in a year. This will made known to the public through an advertisement in dailies, Temple, Govt. offices and invitations of Jathra. The brides and Bridegrooms, who are desirous of getting married in the group marriages should send applications to the Temple authorities along with their photos, Certificate of reality from the concerned Panchayath, Certificate of age and consent letters of Parents before one month.

One Dhothi, one shawl to the Bride and Saree, Blouse and one Gold Tali will be presented on behalf of the temple with special meals.

During last year, Eleven Brides and Bridegrooms entered into the wedded life.

Social Activities Provided By Temple

  • Provides Good Education to the students by running Shree Durga Parameshwari High School and a Pre University College 

  • Providing 6 months Yakshagana training for those who are interested in Yakshagana

  • Conducting Health camps around the places ofTemple.

  • Creating social awareness to students by conducting workshops in colleges and schools

  • Providing financial assistant to 14 Primary and Higher Primary Schools for mid day meals ('Chinnara Anna Santharpane')

  • Supplying plates for mid day meals of 14 Primary and Higher primary Schools

  • Providing Hall for the programs related to Village and Rotary club functions at free of cost

  • Providing vechicles for social programs related to society [ eg. Pulse polio ]

  • Supplying every year sweets to 45 schools for the independence day program celebrations

  • Providing financial help to the financially challenged patients

  • Providing free meals to the students who are studying in Mandarthi

  • Temple has contributed 2 Lakh Rupees to Chief Minister Relief fund for the people who are affected by Tsunami
